Easy... the enemy of progress!

The easiest thing to do at any given time is to do nothing.  In our lives, we're always looking for the easiest solution, the easiest course of action, the easiest way of life. It's kind of built into human DNA.  It's a survival instinct.

The problem is that easy and progress typically are on opposite ends of the spectrum.  If you aren't challenging yourself, you typically aren't making progress because you are only doing things that you already know how to do... like nothing for example.  It is only when you are pushing yourself beyond your limits will you truly be able to make progress.  Doing something is a good way to get started!
